Check the house after winter and get it ready for warm weather, from the gutters to the AC.

Outside
- Clean gutters and downspouts
- Inspect the roof for winter damage
- Check siding, paint, and caulk for gaps
- Service the lawn mower and sharpen the blade
- Turn on outdoor faucets and check for leaks
- Check sprinklers for broken heads
- Clean and inspect the deck or patio
- Wash windows and screens
Cooling
- Schedule an AC tune-up
- Replace the HVAC filter
- Clear debris from around the outdoor AC unit
Inside
- Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
- Vacuum the fridge coils
- Clean the dryer vent
- Flush the water heater
- Check under sinks for leaks
- Set ceiling fans to counterclockwise (cooling)
