Guest room
- Wash sheets and make the bed
- Add an extra blanket and pillows
- Clear space in a closet or dresser
- Leave hangers
- Put a lamp and phone charger by the bed
- Leave the Wi-Fi password where they'll see it
Bathroom
- Set out fresh towels and washcloths
- Stock toilet paper, soap, and shampoo
- Leave a spare toothbrush and travel toiletries
Food
- Stock breakfast foods and coffee (ask what they like)
- Plan one easy dinner
Before they arrive
- Tidy the entry and main rooms
- Share arrival details (parking, door code, spare key)
- Make room in the fridge for their things
