- Check the HVAC filter and replace it if dirty
- Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
- Clean the garbage disposal
- Clean the range hood filter
- Clean the dishwasher filter
- Run water in unused sinks and showers
- Check the fire extinguisher's pressure gauge
- Look under sinks for leaks
- Check the water softener salt (if you have one)
- Wipe the washing machine door seal
- Check entry points for signs of pests
